Dobble: Harry Potter is a unique combination of the bestselling observation game and the enchanting world of Hogwarts. You'll find favorite characters, magical creatures, items, and symbols drawn from the books and films. Your goal is simple: be the first to spot the one matching symbol between two cards.

How to Play

Inside the box, you'll find 55 circular cards, each featuring eight different symbols inspired by the wizarding world. Any two cards always share exactly one matching symbol — it could be a character (e.g., Harry, Hermione, Ron), an object (e.g., a wand, the Golden Snitch), a creature (e.g., Hippogriff), or a Hogwarts house crest.

Your task is to spot the matching symbol between your card and the one on the table, call it out loud, and perform the appropriate action. The fastest player gains the advantage.

Gameplay – Step by Step

Setup:

- Shuffle the deck.
- Deal one card to each player.
- Place one card face-up in the center — this is the reference card.

Turn Sequence:

- All players simultaneously compare their card with the one on the table.
- The first player to identify the matching symbol must call it out loud (e.g., "Sorting Hat", "Hedwig").
- After calling out the symbol, they take an action depending on the selected game variant — for example, discarding their card, taking the center card, or passing a card to another player.

End of Game:

- The game ends according to the rules of the chosen mini-game (e.g., when the deck runs out or a player gets rid of all their cards).
- The winner is the player who first fulfills the victory condition.

Gameplay Variants (5 Mini-Games Included)

1. The Tower

- Each player gets one card; the rest are placed in a stack in the center.
- When a player finds the matching symbol between their card and the center card, they take the top card from the stack and place it on their pile.
- The player with the most cards when the stack is gone wins.

2. The Well

- Each player has a stack of face-down cards with one face-up on top.
- One card is placed face-up in the center.
- When a player finds a match, they place their top card in the center and reveal the next one.
- The first player to discard all their cards wins.

3. Hot Potato

- Each player holds one card.
- When a player finds a matching symbol with another player’s card, they pass their card to that player.
- After a set time, players with the most cards lose points.

4. Card Grab

- One card lies face-up in the center; each player holds one card.
- The first player to find the matching symbol takes the center card and places it in their score pile.
- A new card is revealed in the center, and play continues.
- The player with the most cards wins.

5. Duel

- Players face off in pairs, each with one card.
- The first to find the matching symbol and call it out wins the round and takes their opponent’s card.
- You can play in knockout-style tournaments.
