Ants – A Fast-Paced Game of Observation, Reflexes and Counting
“Ants” is a dynamic family game in which all players act at the same time. The goal is to find the correct ant hidden in a large anthill as quickly as possible. The ants come in different colours and carry different numbers, so success depends on sharp observation, quick reactions and simple mental arithmetic.
At the beginning of the game, the anthill is created in the centre of the table using the anthill cards. A separate pile of colourful ant cards is placed nearby. When the top ant card is revealed, all players immediately search the anthill for the ant with the required value. The first person to find it wins the revealed card.
The challenge increases as players collect ants of the same colour. The number of previously won ants in that colour must be added to the value shown on the newly revealed card. This means that the number players need to find changes throughout the game.
For example, if a red ant with the number 10 is revealed and one red ant has already been collected, players must search the anthill for the ant with the value 11. This constantly changing situation keeps every round exciting and requires players to stay focused.
The winner is the player who collects the most ant cards by the end of the game.
