Glow-in-the-Dark Sensory Flashlight
The sensory flashlight is a creative set that allows children to make their own glowing decoration without batteries or electricity. The activity involves growing water crystals, combining them with a special glow-in-the-dark powder and placing the finished mixture inside the bottle.
After being exposed to daylight or artificial light, the contents produce a gentle glow that becomes visible in the dark. For a stronger effect, place the flashlight near a lamp or another light source before use.
Preparing the flashlight step by step encourages children to observe changes, measure ingredients and experiment with different materials. The activity supports curiosity, imagination, concentration and fine motor skills. Growing the crystals also provides an engaging introduction to the properties of various substances and gives children the satisfaction of completing their own project.
The included strap makes the finished flashlight easy to carry or use as a glowing decoration. The set is ideal for home experiments, creative activities and sensory play.
The set includes:
- bottle
- measuring cup
- glow-in-the-dark powder – 3 g
- water crystals – 10 g
