Join your favorite Marvel heroes – Hulk, Loki, Ant-Man, and many more – in a fast-paced party game that puts your reflexes and observation skills to the test. Dobble: Marvel Emoji is a quick-thinking card game where every pair of cards shares exactly one matching symbol. Your task is to find it before your opponents do!
How does the game work?
Dobble: Marvel Emoji includes 55 round cards featuring symbols inspired by the Marvel universe – characters, objects, and iconic elements from movies and comics. Each card shows several symbols (usually 8), but there is only one symbol in common between any two cards in the deck.
Players must quickly find the shared symbol between their card and the one in the center of the table, call it out loud, and perform the action based on the chosen game mode.
Basic rules:
Game setup:
- Shuffle the deck and deal one card to each player.
- Place one card face-up in the center of the table.
Gameplay:
- All players simultaneously compare their card with the one in the center.
- The first player to spot the matching symbol must say it out loud (e.g., “Iron Man!” or “Captain’s Shield!”).
- Then, depending on the selected game mode, they perform an action: discard their card, take the center card, or pass it to another player.
End of the game:
- The game ends when the victory condition of the chosen mode is met (e.g., when a player gets rid of all their cards).
- The winner is the first player to reach the objective.
Game Variants (5 mini-games included):
1. The Towering Inferno:
- Each player starts with one card; the rest form a draw pile in the center.
- When a player spots the matching symbol, they take the top card from the center pile and place it on their stack.
- The player with the most cards when the center pile runs out wins.
2. The Well:
- Each player has a stack of face-down cards and one face-up on top.
- One card is placed in the center.
- When a player finds the match, they place their top card on the center pile.
- First player to run out of cards wins.
3. The Hot Potato:
- Players pass their cards to other players when they spot a matching symbol.
- The goal is to get rid of your card before the round ends.
4. Catch Them All:
- One card is in the center; all players have one card.
- When a player finds the match, they take the center card and replace it with a new one from the deck.
- The player with the most collected cards at the end wins.
5. Double Trouble:
- Players face off in pairs, each with one card.
- The first to find and call out the matching symbol wins the duel and takes their opponent’s card.
