Rebel Dixit – Narrative Card Game (Base Version)

Dixit is a unique party game that combines creativity, intuition, and the ability to interpret images. Players create and guess associations to beautifully illustrated cards, each full of hidden meanings. The game requires players to tune into each other's thought processes, making every round a unique and engaging experience.

Game Rules:

Setup:

Round Structure:

1. The Narrator Chooses a Card – In each round, one player acts as the Narrator. They select a card from their hand and give a clue describing the illustration. The clue can be a single word, a sentence, a quote, a song lyric, or a movie reference—anything that, in their opinion, relates to the image.

2. Other Players Submit Cards – Each of the other players selects a card from their own hand that they think best matches the Narrator’s clue. They then pass it face down to the Narrator.

3. Shuffling and Laying Out the Cards – The Narrator shuffles all received cards (including their own) and lays them face up in a row on the table.

4. Voting – The players (excluding the Narrator) secretly vote on which card they believe belongs to the Narrator. Each player uses their voting token. Voting for one’s own card is not allowed.

5. Scoring:

   - If all players or none guess the Narrator’s card, the Narrator receives 0 points, while all other players get 2 points.
   - If at least one, but not all, players correctly guess the Narrator’s card, the Narrator and those who guessed correctly receive 3 points.
   - Each player earns 1 additional point for every vote cast on their card instead of the Narrator’s.

6. End of the Round – Players draw a new card to maintain a hand of 6 cards. The role of the Narrator rotates clockwise.

End of the Game:

The game continues until there are no more cards to draw or until a predetermined number of points is reached. The player with the most points at the end wins.
