Gel batteries are made in a technology where the electrolyte is bound in the form of a gel. During use, the gas recombination process is used and has a very slow self-discharge process.
Batteries of this type must be loaded with special chargers for gel batteries. These chargers provide adequate charging current for the battery. Using battery chargers or other chargers to charge batteries usually results in battery damage.
Do not discharge the battery below voltage thresholds (10.5V for 12V and 4.5V batteries for 6V battery) and leave or store it in a discharged state.
